Soreyuke! Isekai Cheat Magician Spinoff Manga Ends

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
4-panel comedy manga launched in August 2018

The December issue of Kadokawa's Shōnen Ace magazine published the final chapter on Saturday of Soreyuke! Isekai Cheat Magician (Go Forth! Fantasy World Cheat Magician), Taku Kawamura's four-panel comedy manga spinoff of Takeru Uchida's Isekai Cheat Magician light novel series.

Kawamura (Kakegurui [Kakkokari]) launched the manga in August 2018 in Shōnen Ace, and the manga also had exclusive "episodes" on the Comic Walker and Nico Nico Seiga websites alongside the manga's magazine serialization. Kadokawa published the manga's second compiled volume on June 25.

Uchida's original Isekai Cheat Magician light novels centers on Taichi Nishimura and his friend Rin, who both get transported into a fantasy world. While in their previous world, Taichi is a normal person who just has higher than average reflexes, both he and Rin gain high levels of physical and magical ability, and begin their new life as magicians.

Uchida debuted the story on the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" (Let's Be Novelists) website in 2012, and is still updating the story. Shufunotomo is publishing the story in physical volumes with illustrations by Nardack, beginning with the first volume in 2013.

The light novel series inspired a 12-episode television anime adaptation that premiered on July 10 and aired through September. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired, and is also streaming an English dub.
