Also, general retail release of Collector's Blu-ray of first Code Geass compilation film

On Monday November 11, Anime Limited will release the first 25-part season of the 2007 mecha series Mobile Suit Gundam 00 as a Collector's Blu-ray. The series was directed by Seiji Mizushima (Fullmetal Alchemist, Expelled from Paradise), with music by Kenji Kawai (Maquia, Ghost in the Shell). It will come with a rigid storage box to store both seasons of the series.

Anime Limited describes the story: "The year is 2307 A.D. While the Earth's reserves of fossil fuels have been depleted, humanity has obtained a new, nearly infinite source of energy to replace them in the form of large-scale solar-powered generation systems based on three huge orbital elevators. However, the benefits of this system are available only to a handful of major powers and their allies.

"In this world of unceasing conflict, a private armed organisation steps forward, declaring their intention to eliminate war through martial force. Using the power of their mobile suits combatively, a series of four high-performance machines each dubbed Gundam, the paramilitary organisation known as Celestial Being takes the world stage, beginning armed interventions within all the world's nations."

Anime Limited also releases a Blu-ray Collector's edition of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I - Initiation - to general retailers. (The film was already available since November from the AllTheAnime and Zavvi websites.) This is the first of a trilogy of films compiling the Code Geass TV series, with new and alternative scenes. It will include eight art cards and a poster.

Anime Limited describes the film: "Seven years have passed since the Holy Empire of Britannia occupied Japan, depriving its people of even their names and designating the country Area 11. Sent there in exile, Prince Lelouch of Britannia is caught amidst a struggle between Britannia's forces and resistance fighters when he encounters C.C., a mysterious girl who bequeaths him the power to control anyone just once: Geass. Realising the potential of this new gift, Lelouch declares that it's finally time to bring down the empire that abandoned him and his sister."
