Manami Numakura Ends Solo Singing Career

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Best-of album debuts on February 12, last concert on February 16

Voice actress and singer Manami Numakura revealed on Monday that she will end her singing activities after she releases her new album and holds her last concert in February, though she will still continue voice acting. Her last album, titled Numakura Minami COMPLETE BEST "Minna de!", will debut on February 12 with 33 songs from her solo career, as well as a new song titled "Minna de!" (All Together!) and a Blu-ray Disc with music videos for "Minna de!" and six other songs. She will hold her final concert at Toyosu Pit in Tokyo on February 16. Her fan club "AREA NU" will also close in March.

While Numakura has previously performed songs for The IDOLM@STER franchise as her character Hibiki Ganaha, she began her solo singing career in July 2016 with her debut single "Sakebe," which served as the ending theme song for the Magical Girl Raising Project television anime. She has since released five more singles, and throughout her solo career has performed theme songs for such anime as Fuuka, Kakuriyo -Bed & Breakfast for Spirits-, and Conception.

She is best known as the voice of Hibiki Ganaha from The IDOLM@STER and Yurika Toudou from Aikatsu! She also voiced Akita Oga from Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion the Animation. She announced her marriage to fellow voice actor Ryota Ohsaka this past October.
