Shueisha's Saikyō Jump magazine, the Shonen Jump+ app and website, the variety program Oha-Suta, and Bandai's vendor division are collaborating on a "Jump Saikyō Gag Manga Award" competition, which launched on Friday. Contestants can submit their entries until February 6.
The competition is for a manga that would be a good fit for both Saikyō Jump readers and viewers of Oha-Suta. The winner of the competition will have a manga serialized on Shonen Jump+ (with a chapter also published in Saikyō Jump), an anime adaptation of the manga on Oha-Suta, and goods through Bandai's vendor division. The winner will also receive 1 million yen (about US$9,200).
Judges include comedian Sunshine Ikezaki, Hanasaka Tenshi Ten-Ten-kun and Reizōko no tsuke no Suke! manga creator Kazumata Oguri, I'm From Japan manga creator Seiji Hayashi, and Bandai's vendor division judging team.
