Netflix India Releases Rock Lee Anime on July 24

Netflix India is listing the Naruto spin-off anime series Rock Lee (Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals) on its streaming service. The anime will stream on the service starting on July 24.

Netflix India describes the story:

Young ninja-in-training Rock Lee only practices taijutsu, but he's determined to do his village proud and become a great ninja anyway.

The television series adapted Kenji Taira's Rock Lee no Seishun Full-Power Ninden gag comedy manga, which centered on the secondary Naruto character Rock Lee. The "SD" in the title stands for "Sugoi Doryoku," or "Super Determined." ("SD" traditionally means "super-deformed.")

Studio Pierrot, which also produced the main Naruto anime, animated the series. The series ran from April 2012 to March 2013. Crunchyroll streamed the anime in several countries as it aired in Japan.

Masahiko Murata (Serial Experiments Lain episode director) directed the first half of the series and Gorou Sessha (Toradora! key animator, InuYasha key animator) directed the second half of the series.
