Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai Blu-ray Released Monday

posted on by Andrew Osmond

On Monday September 21, MVM will release a standard Blu-ray edition of the series Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai.

In the story, Sakuta Azusagawa is a high school student who suddenly sees a bunny girl appear in front of him. The girl is Mai Sakurajima, Sakuta's upperclassman and also a famous actress who has gone on hiatus from the entertainment industry. For some reason, the people around Mai cannot see her bunny-girl figure. Sakuta sets out to solve this mystery, and as he spends time with Mai, he learns her secret feelings. Other heroines who have "puberty syndrome" start to appear in front of Sakuta.

Sōichi Masui (Sakura Quest, Chaika the Coffin Princess) directed the series at A-1 Pictures' studio CloverWorks. Masahiro Yokotani (Free!, Re:Zero) was in charge of series composition, and Satomi Tamura (animation director for Kiznaiver, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) designed the characters. Tamura was also chief animation director with Akira Takata (After the Rain, Natsume's Book of Friends).

Manga Entertainment will release the second half of Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202, carrying episodes 14 to 26 of the series. Manga describes the story as follows:

"The White Comet Empire advances toward Earth, and the Wave Motion Fleet is all that stands between Zworder and humanity's annihilation. Even with Teresa on their side, finding answers, from within themselves, is humankind's last hope for survival."
