Muse Asia Streams BanG Dream! Anime

Muse Asia announced on Facebook on Thursday that its official YouTube channel will stream the television anime adaptation of Bushiroad's BanG Dream! mixed-media project on November 30. The channel will stream episodes daily at 5:30 p.m. IST.

Alongside India, the anime is available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Laos, Myanmar, Nepal, Vietnam, Brunei, Cambodia, and Bhutan.

Muse Asia describes the anime:

It's hard to reach for the stars when you don't know what inspires you, but thanks to a chance meeting between Kasumi and a star-shaped guitar, she finally understands her true calling! Kasumi becomes determined to form an all-girl band, and her search leads her to Saya, Arisa, Rimi, and Tae. Featuring live performances by the band Poppin'Party, Kasumi (played by the band's lead singer, Aimi), prepares to take the stage and make her dreams of stardom come true, no matter the obstacles.

The main BanG Dream! television anime's first 13-episode season premiered in January 2017. The anime's second season premiered in January 2019. The BanG Dream! 3rd Season television anime debuted on January 23.

The franchise also inspired an anime film titled BanG Dream! FILM LIVE, which opened in 56 theaters in Japan in September 2019. The franchise's upcoming BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia I: Yakusoku (Promise) film will open on April 23, 2021, and the BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia II: Song I am. film will also open next year. The BanG Dream! franchise also has the upcoming BanG Dream! FILM LIVE 2nd Stage anime film that also opens next year, as well as the BanG Dream! Poppin' Dream! anime film, slated for 2022.

Bushiroad launched the BanG Dream! multimedia project in January 2015, and the company formed the Poppin' Party band for the project in February 2015. The band's members consist of voice actresses who portray the characters in the story, and they play the same instruments as their characters. The cast includes:

  • Aimi as Kasumi Toyama on guitar and vocals
  • Ayasa Itō as Arisa Ichigaya on keyboard
  • Rimi Nishimoto as Rimi Ushigome on bass
  • Sae Ootsuka as Tae Hanazono on lead guitar
  • Ayaka Ohashi as Saaya Yamabuki on drums
