Muse Asia Adds Re:ZERO Director's Cut, Scar on the Praeter, EX-ARM

Muse Asia started streaming Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Director's Cut, an updated version of of the Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- anime, on Saturday. It also began streaming the Project Scard: Scar on the Praeter anime last Friday, and it added the EX-ARM anime on Sunday.

Muse Asia describes the first episode of Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Director's Cut:

Natsuki Subaru is summoned to a parallel world on his way home from the convenience store. He's entranced at first by the fantasy world suddenly stretching before his eyes, but the cute girl he believes summoned him is nowhere to be found, and soon enough he's utterly lost. Then a gang of punks surrounds him, but he quickly learns that he doesn't have any of the powers that he thought all people transported to a parellel world should have. Just when he's about to be beaten senseless, a girl appears...

The new edit of the first 25-episode season adds some new footage and reworks the episodes to run in a one-hour timeslot. The 25-episode first anime season of Tappei Nagatsuki's Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- light novel series premiered in April 2016.

The second season of the anime premiered in July 2020. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the first half of the second season in Southeast Asia, and is also airing a simulcast of the second half.

Project Scard: Scar on the Praeter premiered on Friday. Muse Asia describes the anime:

As long as we have friends, our youth continues. We will thread the same path.
And then, we'll become a family."

Tokyo, "Special Dawn District".
The ones who protect this lawless city that's casted away by the government, are special people who were blessed with a special tatoo by God, Scard. Various hardships befalls upon "Helios", "Artemis", and the "Security Office".

They intersect with each other, and surpass it.
And somehow, the string that ties them, is not anger and hatred anymore, but trust.
The Scar on the Praeter is the story about them leaving their backs to each other.

GoHands and Frontier Works are credited with the original work, and GoHands is animating the series. Shingo Suzuki (K, K: Return of Kings, W'z) is directing the anime and designing the characters. Tamazo Yanagi (Hand Shakers, W'z) is writing the scripts, and Conisch (Hetalia The Beautiful World, Linebarrels of Iron) and GOON TRAX (Hand Shakers, W'z) are composing the music.

The anime of Shinya Komi and HiRock's EX-ARM manga premiered on Sunday.

Yoshikatsu Kimura, who has worked on the live-action 20th Century Boys and Ajin films, is directing the anime at the studio Visual Flight. Tommy Morton is overseeing the series scripts, and Sō Kimura is composing the music. Osaka "pop punk band" AIRFLIP are performing the theme song "Rise Again." The band Dizzy Sunfist will perform the show's ending theme song "Diamonds Shine."

The manga's crime battle story centers on high school student Akira Natsume. Only his brain is saved when he is involved in a traffic accident, and it later becomes part of an advanced weapon. Akira cooperates with the police's EX-ARM countermeasure division in order to regain his lost memories and body.
