Akira and Ghibli Screenings at London's Prince Charles Cinema

The Prince Charles cinema in London's Leicester Square, which regularly screens Ghibli films, has announced the following anime screenings.

There will be screenings of the 4K restoration of Katsuhiro Ōtomo's Akira on the following dates: Friday May 21 (2.40 p.m.), Monday May 24 (3.40 p.m. and 8.30 p.m.), Tuesday May 25 (5.45 p.m.), Wednesday May 26 (2.40 p.m), Thursday May 27 (9p.m.), and Saturday June 5 (2.50 p.m.)

There are also the following Ghibli screenings available:

- Nausicaä of the Valley of Wind (Japanese) on Sunday May 30 at 11.50 a.m.

- Laputa: Castle in the Sky (Japanese) on Sunday June 6 at 11.45 a.m.

- Grave of the Fireflies (Japanese, pictured left) on Sunday June 20 at 11.45 a.m.

- My Neighbor Totoro (Japanese), on Sunday June 27 at 12.40 p.m.

- Only Yesterday (Japanese) on Sunday July 18 at 11.30 a.m.

- Porco Rosso (Japanese) on Sunday July 25 at 12 p.m.

- Whisper of the Heart (Japanese) on Sunday August 1 at 11.30 p.m.
