Musical guests, VTubers attend November 25-27 convention

Anime Festival Asia announced last Saturday its first lineup of guests for its upcoming Singapore convention, which includes musical guests and hololive VTubers.

The musical guests include May'n, Akari Nanawo, Nhot Bot, Yuka Nagase, and Tsunomaki Watame. The VTuber guests from hololive include Moona Hoshinova, Anya Melfissa, Mori Calliope, and Gawr Gura.

May'n performed songs as the Macross Frontier anime's "Galactic Fairy" idol Sheryl Nome. Beyond her performances for Macross Frontier, May'n has performed theme songs for anime series including Accel World, The Ancient Magus' Bride, Aria the Scarlet Ammo, Izetta: The Last Witch, Inari Kon Kon, and M3 - Sono Kuroki Hagane.

Akari Nanawo is a solo musician who has performed theme songs for such anime as Happy Sugar Life, Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It (first and second season), Warlords of Sigrdrifa, and Engage Kiss.

Nhot Bot is a virtual idol group consisting of Hiseki Erio, Hanazono Serena, and Kagura Mea. Yuka Nagase is a musician signed under the Riot Music label.

Anime Festival Asia will return as an in-person convention at the Suntec Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Centre on November 25 to 27.

The previous in-person Anime Festival Asia event took place in 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Sozo began holding online AFA events in 2020.

The Anime Festival Asia conventions take place in Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, and Japan. The event is one of the largest anime and Japanese pop-culture conventions outside Japan. 2015's Anime Festival Asia in Singapore drew 90,669 visitors. Aside from Anime Festival Asia and its attached I Love Anisong label, Sozo also owns JLive Asia, and organizes the Japan Music Festival brand.
