Retail sites list Crunchyroll Blu-ray release of 2019 film in which Japanese teenagers battle immigration officers

The anime-on-line and Amazon UK websites are listing a Crunchyroll Blu-ray release on December 26 of the anime film of novelist Osamu Sōda's Bokura no Nanokakan Sensō (Seven Days War or Our Seven-Day War) novel. The 2019 film was screened in October this year at the Scotland Loves Anime festival.

The story is described on the anime-on-line site: "A rebellious camping trip is Chiyo's last hurrah before moving away and Mamoru's last chance to tell her how he feels. But when their group finds a kid in need, Mamoru must lead a seven-day resistance against the immigration officers hot on their heels."

Yūta Murano (Brave Beats, Dream Festival!, How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord) directed the film at Ajia-do. Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass, Valvrave the Liberator, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress) wrote the film's script. Keishin designed the original concept for the characters, and Hiroshi Shimizu (Michiko & Hatchin, Megalobox) adapted those designs for animation.

There is a Japanese trailer for the film below, including the film's theme song "Kessen Zenya" (Eve of Battle) by Sano ibuki.

Kadokawa Shoten published the original novel in April 1985, which inspired a live-action film starring Rie Miyazawa in 1988. The novel also spawned a series of print sequels and spinoffs that has sold over 170 million copies.
