London IMAX Screenings of Totoro and Spirited Away on January 22 2023

Tickets are available for screenings of Hayao Miyazaki's films My Neighbour Totoro and Spirited Away at London's BFI IMAX cinema (near Waterloo station) on Sunday January 22 2023. The My Neighbour Totoro screening is at 10 a.m. and is available here, while the Spirited Away screening is at 12.30 p.m. and is available here. Both screenings will be in Japanese with English subtitles.
In addition, both films will have screenings at the nearby BFI Southbank cinema, with My Neighbour Totoro, pictured right, having screenings on Tuesday January 3 at 6.20 p.m. and Saturday January 28 at 1.40 p.m., and Spirited Away, pictured left, having a screening on Saturday January 7 at 12.10 p.m.
Both films appeared on the recently-announced "100 Greatest Films of All Time" list published by the film magazine Sight & Sound. The BFI IMAX is also screening other films from the list. January screenings include Parasite, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Shining, Blue Velvet and Metropolis (the 1926 live-action silent film by Fritz Lang which inspired the 2001 anime film of the same name).
