Anime Limited Announces Blu-ray Price Changes

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Company's site has also added many non-Anime Limited home releases; the price of shipping to the EU is now £15

Anime Limited has posted several updates about its products and its alltheanime website.

The company will launch an "entirely new webshop" in the coming months. However, customers' credentials will still work, their purchase histories will remain the same, and outstanding pre-orders will be unaffected.

The AllTheAnime site has added "several hundred" anime titles to the platform that are distributed by companies other than Anime Limited. For example, multiple DVD collections of the TV One Piece are now available on AllTheAnime. The series is distributed in the UK by Crunchyroll.

Anime Limited is also updating its prices for TV series Blu-rays. According to the company, "our MSRPs [Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Prices] will now be more in line with industry trends to reflect the higher costs of inputs and the effect inflation has had this last decade, while ensuring quality of our products will remain the same."

Starting with its July pre-orders, Anime Limited's new MSRPs for a "typical" release are listed below. However, some more premium releases will have variation in their prices.

Also, these are suggested prices. According to Anime Limited, "some retailers (including us) will have opportunities on occasion to purchase [particular titles] at different price points."

Additionally, Anime Limited will continue to have "Early Bird" discounts for early orders made through the AllTheAnime's site.

The new MSRPs for "typical" releases are as follows -

Standard Edition 12-part Blu-ray: £39.99

Collector's Edition 12-part Blu-ray: £69.99

Collector's Edition 12-part Blu-Ray with a soundtrack CD: £74.99

Anime Limited also says the following about shipping:

"...There have been many changes to shipping infrastructure in the last few years, and we've had quite a few customers ask that we hold packages until all items in the order are ready. Now, we'll be doing that as standard – orders will not be sent out until all items within that order are available.

"However, if you'd still like to split your orders to get specific items sooner than others, you're able to just as before – simply make a separate order for each shipment you'd like to receive, and this change will not apply to you if you don't want it to.

"Shipping will update to this scheme starting today, and if you have an existing order with us this will be shipped only once all items are available to ship."

The price of shipping to the EU shipping is changing, effective immediately, to a new price of £15 for an order. The reason for this is shipping cost increases.

According to Anime Limited, "Shipments to other areas remain the same as before, and we continue to offer free shipping to the UK and Ireland as we always have."
