Netflix is listing the following anime for release in India:

  • The anime of Capcom's Onimusha game will stream on November 2.
  • Scott Pilgrim Takes Off — Netflix, Universal Studio Group's Universal Content Productions' (UCP), and Science Saru's anime series of Bryan Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim graphic novel series will stream on November 17.
  • The My Daemon animated series will stream on November 23.
  • The first anime series adaptation of Baku Yumemakura's Onmyōji novels will stream on November 28.

Famed director Takashi Miike (live-action Ichi the Killer, Blade of the Immortal, Crows Zero, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable, Terraformars) serves as the supervising director for Onimusha.

Shin'ya Sugai (Walking Meat, Dragon's Dogma) is directing the anime at Sublimation. Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die original novels, Made in Abyss, Goblin Slayer), Koji Endo (live-action Blade of the Immortal, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) is composing the music. Shochiku is credited for historical supervision. Keiji Tsuji (13 Assassins, live-action Blade of the Immortal) is the stunt coordinator. Kim Jung Gi is credited for character designs, except for the character of Miyamoto Musashi, which is credited to Manilyn Toledana.

The series uses the late prolific actor Toshiro Mifune (Rashomon, Seven Samurai) as a model for the character Miyamoto Musashi.

CAPCOM debuted the Onimusha Sengoku-era survival action game series in 2001. The games in the series retell stories from the Sengoku era but with supernatural elements. The latest game in the series, a remaster of Onimusha: Warlords, released in January 2019.

The game series previously inspired the Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams CG film in 2006. The film compiles the CG-animated footage from CAPCOM's Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams PlayStation 2 video game and also adds extra animated scenes.

Scott Pilgrim Takes Off will premiere on November 17.

The cast from the 2010 live-action Scott Pilgrim vs. The World film adaptation are returning for the anime.

O'Malley is writing the project and serving as executive producer with BenDavid Grabinski (new Are You Afraid of the Dark? series). O'Malley and Grabinski are also the showrunners. Japan's Science SARU (DEVILMAN crybaby, The Heike Story, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken!) is animating the project with its CEO Eunyoung Choi as producer and Abel Gongora (Star Wars: Visions' "TO-B1") as director.

Edgar Wright, the director and co-writer of the 2010 live-action film adaptation, is an executive producer with his producing partner Nira Park, the film's co-writer Michael Bacall, and Marc Platt Productions' Marc Platt, Jared LeBoff, and Adam Seigel.

Scott Pilgrim is the story of a 20-something Toronto indie rocker's adventures in getting and keeping jobs, avoiding being kicked out of his apartment, and surviving encounters with the seven evil exes of the new girl in town on whom he has a crush.

O'Malley published the original Harvey Award-winning, manga-influenced Scott Pilgrim graphical novel series from 2004 to 2010. The Scott Pilgrim vs. the World film opened in 2010, and it spawned the "Scott Pilgrim vs. the Animation" short from Titmouse that same year. Ubisoft Montreal also developed Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game in 2010.

mydaemon
The My Daemon animated series will debut on November 23.

Hidetaka Adachi aka Otsuichi (Exception, Oblivion Island: Haruka and the Magic Mirror, Summer Ghost) is writing the animated series at the Thai animation studio Igloo Studio. Nat Yoswatananont is directing the series.

The series takes place in the near future, after a nuclear explosion has caused the Earth to overlap with Hell for a moment, causing pollution from a dust that originated in Hell. Elementary student Kento finds a daemon named Anna in the forest, and raises Anna. The series follows the adventures of Kento and Anna as they go on a trip to save Kento's mother.

onmyoji
Netflix will stream Onmyōji worldwide starting on November 28.

Soubi Yamamoto (Meganebu!, This Boy/Kono Danshi series) is directing the anime, and Natsu Hashimoto (Oshiete Hokusai!: The Animation) and Yuiko Katō (Agū: Tensai Ningyō) are writing the scripts. Marvy Jack is producing the anime. Ling Tosite Sigure is performing the anime's theme song.

Yumemakura first wrote the franchise as a series of short stories starting in 1986. He then wrote three full-length novels for the franchise, in 2000-2008. The book series also includes several picture books.

The stories take place in a fictional version of Japan's Heian period, and center on the real-life onmyōji Abe no Seimei.

The novels inspired the Onmyoji and Onmyoji II live-action films in 2001 and 2003. Reiko Okano drew a 13-volume manga adaptation of the series starting in 1994. The books have also inspired several live-action series in Japan.
