Netflix Adds One Piece Film Red Anime in India on December 15

The film opened in India in October 2022 in 172 theaters across Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Mysore, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Hyderabad, West Bengal, Rajasthan, Central India, Assam, Bihar, and Orissa. It screened in Hindi and in Japanese with English subtitles. PVR Pictures hosted "special fans screenings" for the film ahead of its pan-Indian release in Mumbai, Pune, and Bangalore.
The film opened in Japan in August 2022 and topped Japan's box office for 2022 in terms of yen earned and tickets sold.
The film became the #6 highest-earning film of all time in Japan (unadjusted for inflation), and surpassed Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in November. The film earned a total of about 620 million yen (about US$4.18 million) from month-long encore screenings that started on October 20.
Crunchyroll began streaming episodes 892-1077 of the One Piece anime series in India on September 30 and began streaming episode 1078 onward from October 1. It began streaming an English dub for episodes 892-1024 on October 25.
