Bandai Announces Wolf's Rain and .hack//DUSK soundtracks

BANDAI ENTERTAINMENT UNVEILS UPCOMING CD SOUNDTRACK RELEASES FOR BOTH ‘WOLF'S RAIN’ AND '.HACK//LEGEND OF THE TWILIGHT'

Cypress, CA (January 30, 2004) – Bandai Entertainment announced today the unveiling of two new CD soundtrack releases for the highly anticipated anime series, '.hack//Legend of the Twilight' and ‘Wolf's Rain’. Each of the soundtracks showcases an impressive array of music from each of the series and contains fully translated song lyrics and artwork.

“The World” of .hack is set within an immersive virtual gaming environment of the future. Millions of players log on each day to test their skills in virtual adventures and battles. The
'.hack//Legend of the Twilight' original soundtrack combines the talents of Yuji Yoshino and Yōko Ueno featuring the music from the upcoming anime series.

It has been four years since the incident that has come to be known as the Twilight. Many of those who witnessed it no longer come to “The World.” It is a different place. A safer place. Shugo and his twin sister Rena are two of the newest players to join “The World.” And they've won a very special prize in a contest—they get to use the character likenesses of the legendary Kite and Black Rose. Such a prize is very rare indeed, and it makes them the center of a lot of attention. The pair will encounter friends and allies, but it soon becomes very clear that they are not ordinary players. Unusual things keep happening around them, but they're too busy having fun to really worry. It's probably nothing. Probably.

From the creators of ‘Cowboy Bebop’ – ‘Wolf's Rain’ features the harmonious melodies of famed music composer, Yoko Kanno (Escaflowne,Cowboy Bebop, Macross Plus, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). The original CD soundtrack will feature background music from the upcoming anime series including songs sung by Maaya Sakamoto (Escaflowne).

There is a legend that hints of ‘Paradise’ on Earth and that only wolves can find it. But wolves are believed to have been extinct for hundreds of years. Only a few know the truth. A truth behind wolves hidden within plain sight by taking on human form. Now, a group of outcast wolves set out to find ‘Paradise’. Kiba, the one who is certain it exists, drives them onward. Hige, the hungry wolf who has an incredible sense of smell, is along for the ride. Toboe, the young, uncertain one, just wants company. And Tsume, the hardened warrior who doesn't seem to care about anything. Pursued by a half-crazed hunter bent on vengeance, a scientist obsessed with an occult book, and a mysterious figure with unknown motives, a long and arduous journey of discovery has begun.
