CPM Receives Press Coverage

Central Park Media Proud To Share In
Recent Anime Press Coverage

New York, NY (July 7, 2005) - Central Park Media is proud to announce that its anime releases as well as the acclaimed directors who created these works were mentioned by a number of high profile national and international media outlets in their coverage of the anime industry over the past weeks.

One of the most prominent of such articles was a cover story in Business Week highlighting the work of anime's legendary creators and producers including Osamu Tezuka (creator of “Black Jack”), Hayao Miyazaki (whose Studio Ghibli produced “Grave of the Fireflies”), Katushiro Otomo (creator of “Roujin Z”), and Mamoru Oshii (director of “Patlabor the Mobile Police” & “Urusei Yatsura Movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer”). With such top talent behind each of these releases, it is not surprising that they are among Central Park Media's all time bestsellers.

In addition, the critically acclaimed “Grave of the Fireflies” was included on MTV's list of Japan's most groundbreaking animated films and placed second on Anime News Network's list of the top 25 favorite anime titles. These are just the latest of a lengthy list of kudos for this powerful anime classic.

About “Grave of the Fireflies”:
In the aftermath of a World War II bombing, two orphaned children struggle to survive in the Japanese countryside. To Seita and his four-year-old sister, the helplessness and indifference of their countrymen is even more painful than the enemy raids.

About “Black Jack”:
In a world where the grim reaper can strike at any time, a brilliant renegade surgeon known only as Black Jack operates outside the law. For the rich and dying, he performs miracles of a macabre medical nature. Unafraid of mysteries that verge on the paranormal, Black Jack is the one man with the power to cheat death…for a terrible price!

About “Roujin Z”:
An elderly invalid is volunteered for a bizarre science experiment. He is given a robotic bed linked directly to his brainwaves! But the bed transforms into an unstoppable robot!

About “Patlabor – The Mobile Police”:
Meet Noa Izumi. Cute and spunky, she could be the girl next door…except that she loves giant robots with a passion that's a little scary. Meet Alphonse. He's a giant robot. They work along with the rest of the fearless fanatics that make up the Patlabor Squad to battle crime.

About “Urusei Yatsura Movie 2: Beautiful Dreamer”:
The comedic misadventures of high school students and an alien princess stuck in a time loop!
What would you do if you were trapped reliving the same day over and over? For anyone else, this would be a horrific problem…but for the residents of Tomobiki, it's far worse!
