Eureka Seven Wins 2 SPJA Awards at AX

July 26, 2006 (Cypress, Ca) – Bandai Entertainment, INC. announced today that its series Eureka Seven, a co-production with mega animation house Studio BONES, won two SPJA AWARDS at the 2006 Anime Expo®, held annually in the U.S.: BEST TV SERIES and BEST FEMALE CHARACTER (Eureka) for the USA release. In addition, the first volume of the manga which hit North American book stores in April is about to go into a second printing.

“We are very happy that Eureka Seven has found such an enthusiastic audience in the USA -- it continues to build a loyal following – many of the Anime Expo attendees were cos-playing as the characters,” said Bandai Entertainment's President Ken Iyadomi.

Eureka Seven is currently being aired on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim block, released on DVD by Bandai Entertainment, and being made available for streaming and download at Bandai Entertainment's AnimeVillage.com. The second volume of the manga has just been released in North American bookstores with the video game due for release in the fall.

“This is a series that gets better and more exciting with each of the 50 episodes, so we feel that this is just the beginning for Eureka Seven in the USA,” said Iyadomi.
