Cosplay Cruise to Take Anime and Gaming Fans down the River

The UK's first aquatic Cosplay party sets sail on London's Thames River this July

London, 4th March 2010: Cosplay Cruise is pleased to today announce its first event, to be held on 10th July 2010. Fans of anime, cosplay and gaming can look forward to a decidedly more luxurious fan-community experience as we cruise along the Thames aboard the Dixie Queen, the largest passenger vessel on the river. The five-hour party will feature an upper deck dancefloor, playing host to some of the best J-Rock, J-Pop and Visual Kei music around, along with karaoke and a number of competitions through the evening held on the lower deck.

The Dixie Queen also boasts two fully functional licensed bars and a large outer deck that's perfect for Cosplay photoshoots!

Cosplay Cruise is also delighted to announce that the evening will also feature an exclusive live performance by London-based J-Pop/Cyberpop/electronica artist Sputniko! (http://www.sputniko.com, appearing subject to work and recording commitments), who will be debuting some of her new material with us!

The Cosplay Cruise sets sail from Tower Bridge on 10th July 2010. The event runs from 19:00-00:00 and tickets cost GBP £25.00 each.

Cosplay Cruise is an independent event held by journalist Matt Kamen and researcher Keith Thomson, two increasingly grumpy mid-20-somethings seeking to create a new experience for the UK's anime and gaming fan communities. Hopefully they will survive the experience.
