Second Round of Guests Announced for Saboten Con 2013

(PHOENIX, Arizona - July 18, 2013) Saboten Con is excited to have John Swasey, Spike Spencer, Travis Willingham, and Warky T. Chocobo attend this convention. Saboten Con will be held from August 31st through September 2nd at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel in Glendale, Arizona.

JOHN SWASEY
Attending Saboten Con for the first time is John Swasey. According to Anime News Network, John Swasey is the most prolific male voice actor in North America. In 1997, John started his voice acting career when he landed his first role in "Golden Boy" from ADV Films. Since then, John has gone on to voice hundreds of shows and characters with ADV Films, FUNimation, and Illumitoons. Being more of the character actor type has given John the freedom to voice hundreds of characters such as Gendo in "Neon Genesis Evangelion", the Captain in "Halo" (VG), Lord Death in "Soul Eater", Kogoro in "Sgt. Frog", Huang in "Darker than Black", Vulcan in "Orphen", Ken in "Kaleido Star", Captain Ahab in "The Legend of Moby Dick", Rikudoh in "RahXephon", Karl Haushofer in "Fullmetal Alchemist", Sir Crocodile in "One Piece", Mister in "Coyote Ragtime Show", as well as roles in the live action films "2009 Lost Memories", "Conduct Zero", "Yesterday", "Jungle Juice", and the "Gamera trilogy". John has also directed. Some shows he has directed include "Welcome to the N.H.K.", "AirGear", "Wandaba Style", "Saint Seiya", "Shadow Skill", "E's Otherwise", "Michel", "Jinki: Extend" and "Shinobi". Recently, John can be heard voicing the evil villain, General Disdain in the animated feature, "Last Flight of the Champion".

SPIKE SPENCER
Another spectacular guest scheduled to appear at Saboten Con is Spike Spencer. Spike Spencer has voiced hundreds of episodes of anime including such notable titles as "Neon Genesis Evangelion", "Bleach", "Vampire Knight", "Durarara!", "Battle Angel", 'Suikoden", "Orphen", "Spriggan", "Nadesico", "Mar", "PreTear", "Buso Renkin", "Mobile Suit Gundam UC", "Code Geass", and "Kekkaishi". His video game credits include "Bioshock: Infinite", "Saints Row: The Third", "World of Warcraft", "Tales of Vesperia", "BlazBlue", "Dynasty and Samurai Warriors", "Steambot Chronicles", "Star Ocean 2", "Lunar: Silver Star Harmony", and many others. Spike has also lent his voice to numerous radio and TV commercials.

As an accomplished actor, Spike has worked with famous celebrities like Tommy Lee Jones, Sandra Bullock, Frank Langella, Tia Carrere, and Scott Glenn and many others. Spike is also an author, including "How to be a Frickin' Genius Voice Actor, Step One," "What Happens at the Con, Stays at the Con?", and "Don't Kill Your Date (And Other Cooking Tips)". Spike is also a screenwriter with several projects in various stages. Spike is soon to begin production on his first feature film that he scripted, "Dwindle Down."

TRAVIS WILLINGHAM
Making his first appreance at Saboten Con this year is voice actor Travis Willingham. Travis Willingham has had many notable roles in anime, video games, TV, film, and various original animation projects.
In the world of anime, he is most widely known as Colonel Roy Mustang in the "Fullmetal Alchemist” series. Other credits include "Naruto", "Bleach", "Tiger & Bunny", "D.Gray-Man", "Mushishi", "Ouran High School Host Club", "One Piece", as well as Marvel's "X-Men" and "Iron Man" anime, just to name a few.

Some of Travis' most well known video game titles include "Aliens: Colonial Marines", "HALO 4", "Lego: Batman 2", "Skylanders: Giants", "Modern Warfare 3", "Battlefield 3", "Call of Duty: Black Ops I" & "II", "Star Wars: The Old Republic", "Transformers: Dark of the Moon"/"War for Cybertron"/"Fall of Cybertron", "Catherine", "Sonic the Hedgehog", and "Street Fighter 4".

In addition to dubbing anime, Travis has worked on numerous feature films. Some of his on-screen credits include "Secondhand Lions", "Ray", "Friday Night Lights", "Prison-A-Go-Go", "The Guardian", and "A Perfect Getaway". He has also worked on CBS' "Cold Case", FX's "Nip/Tuck", and Fox's "Prison Break". Currently, his newest role will be playing The Hulk and The Human Torch, in Marvel's new animated series, "Marvel Superhero Squad".

WARKY T. CHOCOBO
A seasoned veteran of Arizona's anime convention scene is the extraordinarily multi-talented Warky. Steve (Warky) Nunez is an award-winning singer, lyricist, sound editor, music composer, letterer, editor, actor, and voice actor for video games, film, media, comic books, and audio books. As a voice actor, Warky first broke into voice acting for an anime abridged series of "CardCaptor Sakura", and then for video games in Nexon's "Dungeon Fighter Online". He has been in many video games such as "Return of the Guitar Lord" and "Abandoned", as well as many media productions for radio, animation, trailers, narrations, and commercial work.

As a musician, Warky is the lead singer of the parody Latter-Day Saint (LDS) band, They Might Be Elders. He has composed for many video games, and has sound edited various audio books and other media. Under the tutelage of Yamila Abraham, CEO and award winning author of Yaoi Press, Warky got his start, lettering for Yaoi Press's web series, "The Yaoikuza". Warky has now lettered for different companies and comics, both online and in print, with his most recent work being with Legacy Action Comics.
