SaikouCon Welcomes The Sci-Fi Photo Guys Back in 2014 as Featured Guests
SaikouCon 2014 is Also Now Accepting Sponsors through Internal Kickstarter-like Donation Reward System on Official Website
11/21/13 Breinigsville, PA – Anime Ate My Brain Magazine announced last year that they will be hosting a convention called SaikouCon. SaikouCon, which means "best convention”, is the Lehigh Valley's first and only large scale, annual anime convention.
Presented by Anime Ate My Brain Magazine, a division of Tastes Like Rock! Publishing (Tastes Like Rock! Music Magazine, Anime Ate My Brain Magazine, Tastes Like Rock! Radio), the
convention promises to be a yearly high point in the Summer months of the anime convention
season. Boasting a dedicated staff of longtime Japanese anime and manga fans, SaikouCon is
excited to be the only annual convention dedicated exclusively to anime, manga, and Japanese culture in this area of Northeast Pennsylvania.
Confirmed Guests of Honor for SaikouCon 2014 RuffleButt Cosplay (Jessie Pridemore) returning after her guest appearance at the convention's debut in 2013. More to be announced soon!
Confirmed musical guests include The Adarna and more to be announced!
SaikouCon has confirmed the return of the Sci-Fi Photo Guys as Featured Guests at SaikouCon 2014 after the duo's very popular appearance at SaikouCon 2013! The Sci-Fi Photo Guys offer state of the art green screen photography putting guests in an ever growing collection of CG backgrounds. These backgrounds range from science fiction and fantasy motifs to comic book and anime environments to capture and add an incredibly unique spin to your convention memories!
SaikouCon is also trying something new to attain sponsorships for their 2014 show. Located on the convention's official website on the sponsor page is an internal Donation Reward System for those that may or may not be able to attend the convention but still wish to help make each year bigger, better, more entertaining, and unforgettable than the last! The system is similar to Kickstarter and Indie-Go-Go but does away with needing a “middleman” and a set goal as well. All donations are instant through PayPal, and rewards are guaranteed no matter what following the donation being cleared into the convention's account. Following is a list of the “set” donation levels and the rewards that go with them:
