'AniCool' Website Launching Announcement

Anime Crowdfunding Service with Zero Intermediate Fees by Teen Entrepreneurs

Stone Free, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan / Representing Director & CEO : Akira Ishiguro (19)), a venture that designs, develops and operates services to distribute original animation and manga (comics) contents worldwide, launches ‘AniCool’, a website completely dedicated to crowdfunding of animes with zero intermediate fees, on Thursday, July 10, 2014.

AniCool is a crowdfunding service to bridge fans' desire to see and animators' passion to create the coolest animes.

AniCool develops mechanisms to enable fans to provide funds to animators for creating animes they truly want to. In recognition of their support, fans can receive 'privileges' in proportion to support amounts such as goods only available at AniCool and a right to be a mob character voice actor in an anime. AniCool accepts only full-scale animation production proposals from production companies as potential projects for crowdfunding at its website.

AniCool is a unique crowdfunding website that charges no intermediate fee at all. AniCool intends to improve animators' production environment and working conditions, so AniCool delivers all the funds raised from fans to animators.*

AniCool's animes, once finished, are published on the Web for free, and everyone can watch them at on-line video distribution services and, of course, at the Anicool website. Moreover, such animes completed at AniCool will be available for uploading at other on-line video distribution services with non-commercial derivative works or captions, thus enabling distribution to anime fans worldwide for free.

”Deliver Cool Animes Globally”, even to people who could not see them to date, that's AniCool's mission.

AniCool provides various occasions to promote interaction between fans and animators, such as projects to produce animes with scenarios created by fans and selected through popularity polls and opportunities for fans to be voice actors as privileges in return for their support through crowdfunding.

*Only credit card companies' settlement fees will be deducted.

Activities Going Forward
