“Giovanni's Island” is a feature film animation released in 2014 that was awarded the Excellence Award in the 18th Japan Media Arts Festival (2014).
The Multi-Touch book version of the key frame collection for “Giovanni's Island” will be released in the iBooks store on Dec. 24th, 2014 (Wed) in both Japanese and English.
This will be the world's first Multi-Touch book key frames collection for animation.

We named the Multi-Touch book key frames collection, "E-SAKUGA," the book is an e-book for iPads.
E-SAKUGA is different from conventional key frames collection as it has the new “Sakugami” feature (pending patent) that the company developed. It is a completely new type of e-book in which you can intuitively enjoy pictures moving, which is the essence of animation.
You can see the key frames drawn by animators like a flip book.
It is an excellent tool for both professionals and amateurs who want to see the pictures in motion.

About Giovanni's Island
An animated feature film based in the Kuril Islands in 1945. The story depicts the lives of two brothers, ten-year-old Junpei and seven-year-old Kanta, whose lives are dramatically changed by the Soviet military occupying their island.
2014 Japanese anime film directed by Mizuho Nishikubo and produced by Production I.G and co-produced and presented by the Japan Association of Music Enterprises (JAME).
