TOKYO, JAPAN – February 6, 2016 - Audio-visual entertainment company PONY CANYON is pleased to announce details for Garakowa -Restore the World-, the new original anime film brought to you by a collaboration between Pony Canyon & A-1 Pictures. Garakowa -Restore the World- is the Pony Canyon & A-1 Pictures adaptation of the 2013 grand prize winner of Anime-ka Taisho, D.backup. Originally written and illustrated by creative unit “Physics Point” about software programs as characters that must fend off viruses and bugs in the “Box of Wisdom.” Garakowa -Restore the World- tells the story of two such programs, Dual and Dorothy, who fight to protect their world from viruses, and the strange girl who could change it all, Remo.
Members of the cast and the Director attended the Japanese premiere in Shinjuku on January 9, 2016 to a rousing approval from the crowd. Pictured are Yumiri Hanamori (Remo's VA), Risa Taneda (Dual's VA), Ayane Sakura (Dorothy's VA), Ai Kayano (Sumire's VA), and the director Masashi Ishihama.
