'Sailor Moon' Tribute Orchestra Fundraises New Album
SAILOR MOON TRIBUTE ORCHESTRA FUNDRAISES NEW ALBUM
Two Weeks Left in Kickstarter Campaign
NEW YORK, NY – September 21, 2016 – SERASYMPHONY: Sailor Moon Symphony the orchestral tribute to Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, announces a Kickstarer campaign to help fund a studio orchestra recording.
Since 2014, the fan-made concert created by BLC3Music Services has performed music from the magical girl series in New York and Los Angeles. To mark the 25th anniversary of the anime, SERASYMPHONY is holding a fundraising campaign towards a 12-track studio album featuring new orchestral renditions of music representing the many Sailor Moon adaptations - "Moonlight Densetsu" and "Sailor Star Song" from the 1992 anime, "La Soldier" from the Sailor Moon musicals ("Seramyu"), "Kirari Sailor Dream" from the 2008 live-action series, and "New Moon ni Koishite" from the 2014 anime. Half of the prospective album will feature music from the 1995 DiC Kids English dub including "My Only Love," "The Power of Love," and never-before-released background cues by composer Bob Summers.
The Kickstarter campaign began on September 6 and runs until October 6 with a goal of $11,000. Available perks include digital downloads of select tracks, physical or digital copies of the album, access to a 1-hour live-stream of the recording session, and tickets to a 2017 CD release performance in Los Angeles. The album is slated for digital and physical release on March 7, 2017. Physical copies will be available to US residents only. Upon the successful completion of the Kickstarter campaign, pre-orders for digital and physical copies of the album will be available through the concert website http://www.serasymphony.com . Tickets to the Los Angeles CD release celebration will be announced shortly after.
