Okamoto Kitchen / Atlus Persona 5 Collaboration for Anime Expo 2017

Okamoto Kitchen Delivers a Persona 5 Pop-Up Menu for Anime Expo 2017

LOS ANGELES, CA June 27, 2017 / Okamoto Kitchen partners with Japanese video game publisher Atlus for Anime Expo 2017 with a special edition Persona 5-themed truck serving a unique and mouth-watering P5-inspired menu aimed at anime and gaming enthusiasts alike.

Building upon their reputation as the most popular gaming-themed food operation on wheels, Los Angeles-based Okamoto Kitchen's unmistakable Akiba-style anime art covered truck will be markedly even easier to spot this week while parked at the Los Angeles Convention Center's Anime Rice Balls Lot, embellished with art from the acclaimed role playing Sony PlayStation 4 title, Persona 5, while serving up their signature mashup of Japanese comfort food.

Special Edition Persona 5 Menu Items
“Our team is very excited about this delicious collaborative effort with Atlus. And as fans of anime and game ourselves, we wanted to do something special, so we worked directly with Atlas to create a Persona 5-inspired menu that we believe captures the spirit of Anime Expo and the P5 universe,” says Gerald Abraham, owner and operator at Okamoto Kitchen, “We'll be offering two different combos for AX attendees: the Shujin Academy Combo and the Phantom Thieves combo, alongside unique P5-inspired menu items fans will recognize, including LeBlanc Curry, Cheese Mochi Sticks, Shujin Yakisoba Pan, and a P5-themed drink. Our menu is specifically and only for Anime Expo, and we're including a free limited edition P5 placemat with every combo order. We think together it all personifies the spirit of the pop-up anime themed menus we love in Japan.”

Announcing a 2nd Truck
Okamoto Kitchens also welcomes Umetaro, a newly unveiled second truck that improves upon the original in every way: dual fryers with twin assembly stations to speed up service during peak hours, a set of complementary USB chargers for customers to plug into, and most visibly, new artwork of Haru-chan, Chef Chizuru, and Honey, the founders' beloved hound covering the exterior of this latest addition to the Okamoto Kitchen fleet. Commemorating the launch of the new truck, all customers purchasing a 3 or 4-Hit Combo will receive a limited edition Okamoto Kitchen sticker sheet.

Locations at Anime Expo 2017
Both Okamoto Kitchen trucks will be at Anime Expo 2017 from June 30th through July 4th, from 8am-8pm. The Persona 5 themed truck will be parked at 601 W. Pico Blvd., with the newer truck parked at 1268 S. Figueroa.
