Tokyopop Founder Stu Levy to Make Appearances at New York Events

Speaking At Panels For New York Media Festival,
New York Comic Con, Anime Fest @ NYCC x Anime Expo


LOS ANGELES, CA —Stu Levy, founder and CEO of TOKYOPOP®, a POP Media Holdings company and global manga leader, will be making appearances at several events in New York this week.

Beginning at the NEW YORK MEDIA FESTIVAL's NY Games Conference on October 4th, stu will appear on the Blockchan Gaming revolution panel to talk about disruption of the gaming and entertainment industries through the use of ICOs and blockchain. He will also be speaking at the Rights Tech Summit portion of the event on October 5th on the One Of A Kind: Engineering Digital Scarcity With Blockchain panel, which will discuss how entrepreneurs are leveraging blockchain technology to create limited edition and one of a kind digital collectibles.

As NEW YORK COMIC CON opens at the Javits Center, stu will be taking the opportunity to meet fans and promote TOKYOPOP's new Disney Manga title, THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS: ZERO'S JOURNEY, and celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original film's cinematic debut. On the evening of October 4th he will appear as D. J. Milky to discuss his work writing the comic series alongside other members of the creative team. Fans will also be treated to a free screening of THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS and a giveaway of the new graphic novel. On October 6th he will be attending a book signing at the New York Public Library's pop-up booth outside the convention's event hall.

And appearing at the very first ANIME FEST @ NYCC X ANIME EXPO event, he'll be hosting TOKYOPOP Presents: Manga for Everyone, a panel introducing TOKYOPOP's current and upcoming titles, with several 2019 releases revealed exclusively to attendees.
