Mangamo to Launch Motoka Murakami's Classic Manga JIN, and Introduces New Free Manga Content Tier

Hundreds of Free Manga Chapters, Including Exclusives from Japan

[August 5, 2021 - Tokyo, Japan] Mangamo, the mobile manga subscription app that gives readers unlimited access to hundreds of Japanese manga series while supporting creators, will release manga creator Motoka Murakami's classic medical time-travel manga title JIN on its platform later this month. JIN was serialized on Shueisha's Super Jump magazine until 2010 and is collected on a total of 20 volumes. Murakami launched a Patreon account to fund an English translation of JIN in 2017. The Mangamo launch is the first time JIN is available in its entirety for subscription.

JIN follows the story of Jin Minakata, a doctor from modern-day Japan who time slips back to the final years of the Edo period after conducting brain surgery on a mysterious patient. The manga inspired two live-action Japanese television series as well as a Korean live-action adaptation. JIN received a Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize in 2011.

At Virtual Crunchyroll Expo, Mangamo also announced a new feature called the Daily Free Chapter which allows new users to read a free chapter every day without signing up for a subscription. This new free tier contains no ads and includes hundreds of free Japanese manga chapters, including exclusive series never-before released in English. JIN's first 20 chapters will be free daily on Mangamo.

Multiple free chapters are available for popular titles such as Loving Yamada at LV999 (20 free chapters), Devil-Chi (10 free chapters), Immortal Undertaker (10 free chapters), I Wanna Be Your Girl (15 free chapters), Control Love (10 free chapters), and Department of Demon Resources (10 free chapters) and many, many more.

Download the Mangamo app on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, or visit www.Mangamo.com for more information on the Daily Free Chapter.
