Three Dawn of Kagura Games Available Now on Johren

Shiravune has just released three games in the Dawn of Kagura series of roguelike shrine maiden RPGs, developed by Debonosu Works, on Johren.

SERIES OVERVIEW
The Dawn of Kagura games are replayable roguelike RPGs associated with the broader Kagura series developed by Debonosu Works. Each of these features a different shrine maiden in the leading role, and a different youkai-versus-human dungeon adventure every time!
LIVE 2D ANIMATIONS
Character sprites and some scenario CGs feature active Live 2D animation! Characters also move using cute gestures and expressions in the StoRy segments.
ROGUELIKE MECHANICS TO KEEP YOU COMING BACK!
Each Dawn of Kagura game features replayable RPG mechanics, complete with dungeon layouts and enemy battle formations that change on every playthrough. These three games also feature fan-acclaimed “Pandemonium” and “Youkai Soulshare” systems from previous series installments, so you can strengthen the youkai you've accepted into your ranks and use them to face down even greater monsters!
DIFFICULTY SETTINGS
There's also an easy option for those who might not have the time or patience for the action parts of the game. Easier modes feature weaker enemies, keeping items even when defeated, inheriting character growth over multiple runs, and pre-filled maps for each level.
SYNOPSES
HATSUKA'S STORY
On her way home after completing a quest to exorcise a terrible youkai, Hatsuka Otowa receives a phone call from Mizumori Shrine—the Shinto shrine her family has run for generations. It's her father, who wants her to set out on a new quest immediately. Hatsuka, having just got home, wishes he'd make her big sister Keika go, but in the end she strikes a deal and agrees. Sensing a mysterious force in the nearby woods that must be causing the problems, Hatsuka confidently sets off to complete her quest.
NATSU'S STORY
Natsu is alone at her shrine when the chief of a nearby village approaches her, seeking her assistance. He informs her that youkai are running rampant near the village and requests that she help vanquish them. While reluctant to leave her shrine unattended, Natsu resolves to head alone into battle with the youkai and save the nearby village once and for all.
HATSUKA'S STORY
When Keika receives a request to vanquish youkai, her younger sister, Hatsuka, is already out on another quest. Determined to set a good example for her less disciplined sibling, who often fails to show up to training, Keika visits the village Shinto priest from whom the order originated. This priest tells her of a giant monkey youkai leading other youkai on a rampage in and around his village. She confidently accepts the request alone, believing that her powers as a priestess will suffice for her to overcome them...
HEROINES
Hatsuka Otowa (Voice: Konami Onami)
Weapon: Bow
The second daughter of the Mizumori Shrine. She is an energetic girl who is training to become a priestess. Although her cheerful and straightforward personality is well liked by everyone, she is sometimes scolded for being too boisterous. With her special weapon in hand, Hatsuka sets out to confront youkai.
Natsu (Voice: Dynamite Ami)
Weapon: Hair Ornament
A goddess with dog ears and a tail who lives in the Mizumori Shrine. Her shyness has greatly diminished thanks to having lived with Mikiya and the Otowa sisters for some time. That being said, Natsu is still not much of a talker and seldom shows how she truly feels in front of people she's not familiar with. She is very kind deep down.
Keika Otowa (Voice: Megumi Haruka)
Weapon: Sword
The first daughter of the Mizumori Shrine, and Hatsuka's older sister. As a mild-mannered and polite woman, she takes her priestess duties very seriously. Despite her efforts, though, she's a natural airhead. Every ounce of it is genuine, but her lack of technological know-how is unbelievable at times.
