The event will feature voice actors Chris Hackney and Laura Stahl who have lent voice to characters in video game series Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Genshin Impact respectively.

ASAPA is proud to bring A Taste of Animethon: Special Reunion to the Edmonton Convention Centre for the first time after a 5-year hiatus to give a ray of hope amidst pandemic blues. Tickets are available on our website, atoa.animethon.org,and will be $40 for attendees 12 years of age and older. Younger attendees may attend for free with an accompanying paid attendee. In-line with provincial government COVID-19 restrictions, attendance will be very limited. The event will also require all staff and attendees to provide proof of double vaccination and be masked at all times. Additional staff and security will be on hand to sanitize and enforce social distancing to keep the community safe.

Animethon is Canada's longest running anime convention since 2004. It was unfortunately put on hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic for at least 2 events in a row. A Taste of Animethon has been on hiatus even longer. We are very excited to be back in action and provide quality entertainment to the anime and gaming community.

Animethon is a Japanese Animation (“anime”) themed festival held annually in the city of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Our focus includes screening anime, voice actor guests and musical acts from North America and Japan, improvisation groups, as well as various related activities such as gaming, costume contests, and more. Animethon, as of 2004, is operated by the Alberta Society for Asian Popular Arts (ASAPA).
