Professor Shyguy Returning to Matsuricon
COLUMBUS, OHIO - August 10, 2022 - Matsuricon is pleased to announce this guest for our upcoming convention Tana's Night Market: Professor Shyguy!
Professor Shyguy's music can be best described as; high energy, chiptune-electro-rocking, 8-bit, epically vocalized, highly danceable, theatrical nerd-pop. He is often performing with Blythe Renay doing vocals and Jonna Renee doing visuals. Recently, he's known as the singer for Starring Star on the Funimation dub of Dragon Ball Super.
He has a new album out featuring guests such as Matt Mercer, Ashly Burch, Pyschostick, & more!
You might have also heard him on Kumail Nanjiani and Emily Gordon's Podcast ‘the Indoor Kids’ or the Diamond Club podcast. He has also made songs the Angry Video Game Nerd, GuudeBoulderfist, This Week in Chiptune, PortsCenter, the game Infernax and more!

ABOUT MATSURICON:
With a name derived from the word “Matsuri[祭],” meaning ‘festival’, that's exactly what this convention is: a festival of everything geeky and otaku, from anime to video games. There is something for everyone at Matsuricon and the entire family is encouraged to attend! Matsuricon's annual convention started in 2006 and is back for our first year from a hiatus since 2019. We think of ourselves and our attendees as one huge family that keeps growing and growing every year!
