I want to see this film and I may have to purchase this one myself just to see it. Since I spent a great deal wanting to read the 'Journey to the West' story sometime last year, which was the year of the monkey. But I don't want to just purchase it I want to own it even if it is an import. After all I don't see many domestic studios here picking up any of 'Tezuka's works.
Again can't comment on this one because it's very old. Saw it in an old animation magazine. Wanted to see it, never pursued it, never owned it in the "raw". So unfortunately, I may never get to see this flick.
Another Tezuka flick, that we should have the chance of seeing but who knows if anyone would ever pick this up and release it here. While there was a remake of this film you can see similarities in the original movie and it's predecessor. It's amazing that even 'Tezuka himself even commented that he was satified with this movie in which he directed.
I really want to see this old title. Unfortunately, it hasn't been released on DVD in Japan. Hopefully one day it will. There are fans out there (Japan) that seem to have been wanting it released on DVD. Who knows one day it will happen. Story of a romance between a short dumpy tough guy and a big gal, and I do mean BIG. Hey who says that big gals can't be adored by all?

The plot is excellent in the romance camp. Everything that happens is to get Eui-joon and Gunwoo together, and it works pretty well.― You can read The Dangerous Convenience Store in English two ways.
