Is this gonna be one of those things like Vib Ribbon, where the company gets excited to show off its properties and only when confronted by an audience full of dumbstruck glares do they remember they never @#$%ing released the game in the US?

Yes. Shocked (<- dumbstruck glare)

Followed by the dumbstruck glare caused by their announcing an Altered Beast or Golden Axe movie.
(Even the Japanese were treating them as 80's retro-camp on the Sega Girls series.)

Rent a Hero could be a fun movie to watch as long as it's done right and with super heroes as popular as they are now it's a good time as any. Smile
