The article has incorrect information. Seven seas has only released the first volume. The second volume releases in December 2016, the third in 2017. Also the line is unclear, you mention two compsnies then the next sentence you say "the company" which company are you referring too?

I picked up the September Dengeki G's Comic last week and noticed in that chapter that Yuri was now in her SSS uniform (see below), so it must be catching up to where the anime begins, now that the Afterlife Battlefront has been founded. So it's interesting to hear that Heaven's Door is now in fact done. I noticed there were one or two shots of pre-SSS uniforms/designs in the 1st Beat! visual novel OP, so I kind of wonder if material from the manga informed the VN, or if the additional material from the VN will now appear in this new "true arc" manga.
Sure would be nice if Seven Seas could have eked out more than one volume of the English translation for this calendar year. No point getting my hopes up for a simul-pub of this new "true arc" -- or the chibi Angel Beats! The 4-koma for that matter -- if the first series can't get its publishing act together. EDIT: took a picture of the first page of September's installment:

Unfortunately, publishing was stalled due to circumstances beyond Seven Seas' control. Had everything gone as planned, volume 3 would have been out by years end, but that obviously didn't happen. It was not their intention to delay the releases, I can assure you that. |

Wow, the Heaven's Door manga kind of slipped my mind, but I do know that I already have volumes 2 and 3 pre-ordered.
Really looking forward to this sequel work, hope it gets licensed! |
