Cool! But would be even cooler if Iwai would direct the film himself; I really liked Hana & Alice.

Ohh, is this one of those rare actual anime adaptations of a live action?
I mean, I can't recall any other examples. I haven't seen the Iwai's movie, but judging from the synopsis and other Iwai's movie I've seen, this picks my curiosity as how SHAFT's treatment will be in animating 'ordinary' drama without much exaggerated/over-the-top premises they seemed to usually tackle. |

Same here; even animated, it was clearly an Iwai film through and through, and a worthy prequel to the live-action film. So my ears perked up at this headline, only to droop back down when I saw he had no personal involvement. Hope it turns out well, though. |
