On the one hand, I'm glad Toonami finally managed to clear up the rights with Crunchyroll for this one. Here's to hoping for Mob Psycho 100 II next!

On the other... sucks that we aren't getting Assassination Classroom S2 right away, if at all. Sad

I do wonder about AC. The whole thing is available and it's not like Food Wars is going anywhere, so maybe AC didn't get the ratings it needed to justify licensing the second half.

It could be. Alternately, they could only afford season 1 when they licensed it last year (they were on a budget crunch in 2020, IIRC), and are negotiating for season 2 currently.

Can you please clarify the date/time it premieres? The article contains contradictory information:

"February 27 at 1:00 a.m. EST (effectively, February 14)."

Assassination Classroom did really well for a series that has been out for a long while before ending up on Toonami.
