At least I've got Samurai Flamenco and Durarara! on Blu-Ray. I take it these are all Aniplex USA titles, and they are letting Funimation handle the streaming.

Damn it sucks to see the two Honeyworks movies go, and now there'll be no where else to watch them since Aniplex never put out a BD release and they're not streaming anywhere else to my knowledge.

At least 10cm is still available on Funimation, but for how much longer?

So those animes removed on CR are having to do with Funimation? I never heard of Funi removes some animes in it and ended up on CR. Not good for those who are living in countries(like mine's) where Funi is region locked. No wonder piracy still exist.

Wish I could say the same, I'm still hoping that somebody in NA is gonna pick it up, like maybe Shout Factory because of their recent partnership with Anime Limited. =/

I'm glad I watched the Honeyworks movies when I did.

Most of these are already streaming on Funimation so I'm guessing anything that isn't already will end up there, but I guess I'll have to prioritize watching Wagnaria...

Piracy would exist even if this stuff was available everywhere because believe it or not people are cheap.

I've seen/dropped every single one of these, but I guess I'll go back and try some of the dropped ones again.

Sucks that CR is losing a bunch of older shows but at least they are warning us two weeks in advance this time.

Nope. Swore AnimeLab had Durarara! but it doesn't, so I don't think it is an FGG issue here, but one people have overlooked...

Which leads to the comment I was going to post, which is AT&T and their debt shedding. I can see this as them not wanting to pay for more licences due to wanting to sell CR. But then again corporations wanting to sell cash cows for short term money injection has always baffled me.

Always unfortunate to see this happen, but at least they were able to give some advance warning, like with last time when I was probably one of the last to watch Wandering Son on CR. Will try to catch Wagnaria3, Occult Academy, I've Always Liked You, The Moment you Fall in Love, and maybe Daybreak Illusion before they're gone.

I know some like to blame Funimation for everything, but this looks more like a case of old titles having their license expire (as is typical after 7-10 years), and Aniplex not allowing CR to renew them. Some of the more popular titles might wind up on Funimation, others will likely fall into unavailability. But don't worry, you've got plenty of company in piracy from anime viewers in the US who have no regional availability issues whatsoever.

The two HoneyWorks movies aren't quite so old, but Sony/Aniplex seem reluctant to allow streaming of movies and OVAs. It's filtered down to convention permissions -- up through 2018, I was able to screen stuff like FLCL, Akira, King of Thorn, Girl who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, and Wolf Children, but when the 2019 list came out, pretty much all non-TV anime that could conceivably be watched in a single 2-3-hour session were removed. (Some longer OVAs, like Record of Lodoss War, were still permissible.)

Likely this... Shows have been vanishing from Crunchy as long as I've been watching anime (seven years and counting).

Maybe, maybe not. Maybe Crunchy deciding it's not worth their time or money. It's all supposition because the people who actually know aren't telling.

This. People who believe piracy is due to availability are delusional. (As are people who think it's due to cost.)

I’m still waiting on Aniplex to let FUNi release these on Blu-ray like with Demon Slayer. Ridiculous how impossible it is to pick up DRR and Madoka Magica Rebellion on Blu-ray right now, despite still being licensed.

This is what I'm hoping for as well. I have the 1st season of DRR on DVD, but don't have the 2nd and I really don't want to pay the OOP prices for it.

Highly recommend watching Occult Academy and R.O.D. TV before they leave. Both are really underrated shows.
