The Key visual looks pretty good.

Feels like it's been ages since the first season - can't wait!

It was delayed and in anime years, 3 years is starting to get a bit long.

It seems Kana Hanazawa is starting to ease into more older (looking) roles.

I'm not interested in the anime, but I'm really happy to hear that MADKID is singing the opening again! I've been listening to them for 4 years now and I hope they continue to do well! I'd like for them to sing more OPs and EDs. : )

I've been waiting for another Spice & Wolf season for actual ages, though. I'll never give up!

And I have been waiting for a sequel/remake/whatever I will take for Gunslinger Girl. The manga has ended for coming up 10 years. But I think for newer fans who started watching anime since 2013 with AOT or something, 3 year wait is already quite long.

There is so much every single season and the turn around is so fast. 3 years feel a lot longer.

Always nice to hear Kana Hanazawa. Looks like she'll have an interesting dynamic with Naofumi.

(Who wants to bet that the other heroes flail around so Naofumi has to be the one to stop the turtle...).

I hope they'll give a quick recaps of some important world-building details or key concepts. Cause I feel like there's a huge revelation after the fight with the fans holder lady (or is it the fight after that, if there's any) that I'm sure I've forgotten. It does feel like ages ago.

Yes, and I am so ready for that. She was a favourite of mine in the 2010s, and her slow fade out of the limelight was disappointing. If she's getting more "older" roles that's going to be great.

judging by the trailer, the first episode will be some kind of recap.

glad to see that they will start right with the turtle arc this loop of naofumi is very softhearted compared to the manga or light novel one, so i am curious to see how will that affect the plot.

It got delayed because of COVID. I remember it was supposed to come out in 2021 but it got pushed back. In any case, has it been confirmed that there's going to be a season 3? I remember reading about how seasons 2 and 3 were confirmed back in late 2019 or early 2020. If it's true then it's most likely that the season is going to be split into two cours, each with 12-13 episodes.
I hate it when they do that. It's such a tease. Like "Yo, this anime is going to have two new seasons", but then it's just one season split halfway to give the illusion there's two seasons. Same thing with AOT. We got the final season and final season part 2. Why not just name them differently. Call part 1 season 4 and part 2 the final season or season 5 since there's a rumor spreading around that there's a plan for a movie.

Most likely it was agreed to be one season in terms of the investment structure but with the studio negotiating on more reasonable production schedule to have a break in the middle. Consecutive cours used to be the norm but exhausted the production team behind it. In this sense, the money being put on the table at the start of the production is still the same (like any other 2-cour anime), but a split cour allows for a longer audience engagement period, likely resulting in more engagement = more revenue.
