Because Kirby music is really just that good. Definitely "sounds" like a Grammy well-earned. I suddenly feel a strong need to bust out Super Star Ultra again.

I know that the award was for the arrangement, but who composed the theme originally? Not naming them gives off the impression, however unintentionally, that Westerners are individuals with names but Japanese culture is somehow created collectively by companies.

Technically, it's a medley of two tracks: "Boarding the Halberd" and "Havoc aboard the Halberd," originally composed and arranged by Jun Ishikawa and Hirokazu Ando. VGMdb source. (This is for the remaster album, but they also did the original.)
