I remember reading news articles for this, but I totally forgot to put it on my to-read list! Embarassed This sounds like it neatly avoids the “precocious child with an adult mind is considered a genius” trope by virtue of the time loop, and I honestly think that’s much cleverer. Definitely looking forward to picking this up!

Do you know if you'll be comparing the manga and light novel in the future in the same way you did for The Holy Grail of Eris?
I'm trying to decide between this and the manga release that's apparently a month away, since I typically find light novels--to borrow your words--"astoundingly overwritten".
And just in case the manga turns out to be different from the source material: how did you find the light novel in terms of writing?

Having read the ongoing source webnovel for this, spoiler[Arnold is pretty much a cipher throughout the story so far. A lot of focus is made on the romantic interactions between him and Riche, but the story tends to avoid revealing any direct hints or clues as to why he killed his father and waged war on everyone else. Even Riche's attempts to inquire him further are fruitless, since he immediately shuts up and sternly rebukes her from probing any further.
(I suspect the author is keeping any future revelations for future story arcs; the author is scheduling the writeup for the 6th webnovel arc for this September.)

spoiler[That said, there are some reveals that Arnold's father clearly has very sinister aspects to him, a force to be reckoned.]

spoiler[Like the reveal in a later arc that he only accepts offspring that inherit his genetic combo of black hair and blue eyes, and ruthlessly kills others that don't have this combo. Just as Arnold greatly despises his father, the father's consorts also despised Arnold too for being the lucky one. Or when Riche goes for a walk in the castle with Arnold at night, only to be overwhelmed by the father's killing intent from a distance away..."the same bloodlust she experienced coming from Arnold in a previous life."]

I certainly can, and since I was thinking about it anyway and now know there's interest, I probably will.

This one isn't quite as overwritten as a lot of light novels. Most of the overwriting comes when Rishe's describing something she's doing using knowledge from her past loops, but there's nothing like the digressions where characters go into detail about what they're eating that you find in a lot of LNs. (Those are my personal pet peeve.)

Who is Mary? You mention her once and it seems related to the finance? Is Mary a guy or was it a Female - Female betrothal? Or is Mary someone else involved in the accusations at the start of the loop?

When I read the very brief blurb on the main page I thought it had something to do with 'I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss' since the basic premise of taking on the main aggressor of the story at the start is similar.

Mary is the girl Rishe's fiance dumps her for. She pulls the usual isekai villainess story garbage of inventing bullying, but by the time we join the story, Rishe's already written her off, so she gets name-dropped and not much else.

Thanks! I look forward to that manga review. I definitely want to get this, so at this point it's just a matter of which version.
