Considering that he's called a "pioneer", he was likely doing shojo manga back at the time when men were actually doing a lot of it. Osamu Tezuka, Leiji Matsumoto, Mitsuteru Yokoyama, Shotaro Ishinomori, Go Nagai, and other legendary mangaka have all made shojo manga back in the day, before women started becoming the primary creators. In fact, one of the most iconic shojo action manga, Sukeban Deka, was created by the late Shinji Wada, a man.

This was so cool to watch! I loved hearing about Paris and "every girl being a princess" (awww!). I also loved how he talked about expressing his feelings in his artwork, which is something I try to do too.
