Knowing nothing about the source material, I read the article, hoping it would be a heartwarming story between a girl and her literal guard dog... "Oh, maybe it's about her little puppy trying to act tough to protect her..."
I ended up disappointed. Sad

Edit- I just hope people won't start complaining about the age gap. It's just wish fulfilment.

It'd be nice if they were the same age and he was a high school student for real (I read a BL like that actually)

I imagine the age gap aspect will drive some people away (like with Koikimo) but a high school Yakuza romance could be fun.
