I'm a fan of the series, so I want to support these films... but the trailer alone makes me cringe. I don't know that I can handle two movies worth of this CGI nightmare juice. Not sure if this was a creative choice, a cost saving measure, or something else... but this animation doesn't work for me.

Let’s be glad that studio Deen is not doing the productions They mess up the graphic fights in both seasons, 3 and 4!

Well I mean they also outsourced the entire show to Marvy Jack who's one of the main producers of these movies, so is it really much of a difference?

I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the CG in this. I guess I've seen worse.

The thing that confuses me about this movie is the fact that they have Noriyuki Abe, the director of Yu Yu Hakusho and the original Bleach anime, as one of the key members here.

If you have someone who clearly is very experienced with 2D animation, why the hell make it 3D?

I've never heard of Marvy Jack before. Do they not have a good reputation?

They mostly just do in-between animation or 2nd Key Animation, so they're not really a big studio, meaning outsourcing pretty much the entire season to them was not a good idea and shows poor the production was.

I see it's fallen far from the standard the anime used to have, and especially compared to the manga. But as far as cell-shaded all-CG anime goes, I don't hate it. The characters feel alive, their expressions are clear to read, and the acting is on point. I think I'll actually watch this, since I'm liking 4KotA more than I did 7DS, and want to know more about Tristan's past. But maybe it's because I'm less into the 7DS anime than other folks that it makes me more lenient on it, so what do I know?
