I guess they decided they didn't need three gag manga in the magazine.
Apparently this one hasn't been selling well, and internationally it's a dud -- I've been keeping tabs on the popularity numbers on Manga Plus, and HSF has consistently been the least popular of the current WSJ manga, with Me & Roboco just above it. (Then it's Ichigoki's Under Control!!, The Elusive Samurai, and PPPPPP.)
Tokyo Demon Bride Story looks like it's about to get the ax too; anything else likely to get cut in this batch?

That brings it down to 2 WSJ series I actively enjoy. No sense in keeping my subscription any longer. While the manga ending wasn't bad and it's easy to guess how some of the unclosed arcs would have ended, I wish they had moved it to SJ+ instead of cancelling it.

I'd say the subscription is worth it just for the catalogue alone; current WSJ titles are only like 10% of the library you're getting for $2.

All I know about this one is that every time another Shonen Jump series was cancelled, I'd see a lot of people post "how did *this* get cancelled and not High School Family???"
Guess we'll need a new series to fill that role now...

My guess is Roboco since it's another gag series and people seem to never understand why they're popular.

To be honest, I think HSF actually made a pretty good run. Decent ending too. It's kinda obvious the author had planned to just jump to graduation if he ever got the axe. But it is interesting to think what would have been if he actually managed to get another school year out.
About Roboco, yeah, its recent chapters have gotten iffy. I have a feeling the author might just manage to pull off something crazy again though.

Except Roboco sells at least 4-5 times more with its volumes than HSF and is guaranteed to survive just by that alone while filling its niche.

Actually, come to think of it… this is the longest-running Jump manga to end in a while, isn't it? Not counting Hunter x Hunter finally moving out officially. In fact, it looks like the last manga to leave WSJ after lasting more than two years was Dr. Stone, and that ended almost a year ago. Since then, the biggest departure has been Ayakashi Triangle moving to Jump+.

Well yeah I'm not saying it'll actually get cancelled, but I've seen a lot of people hating on it for no particular reason, calling it an industry plant and stuff. It'll become the next "I can't believe they keep Roboco around but cancelled [manga that almost nobody bought]"

Damn shame. It's one of the few that I still follow (I guess I should say "used to follow" instead now) every week on Shonen Jump.

It's probably going to be Cipher Academy, considering the first translator Kumar Sivasubramaniam decided to stop translating for that series after next week's chapter.

Sure - but even compared to Roboco, HSF was a very, very niche thing even in Japan, and it really raises a question how it actually survived for that long in competitive WSJ... except the fact that it comes from the author of Isobe Isobee Monogatari, which was basically in the same position being "automatic last place holder" with a very niche audience - and still had a whole 4 years run.

Well, considering a lot of the long runners are on the ending line already (JJK, MHA, Mashle, UU) - the next couple of years are gonna be tough for WSJ if they do not find good replacements sooner.

Nah, Cipher Academy is too early to place on the axe line, considering it only came out very recently - the next ones are either Tokyo Oni Bride or G&G... or both, considering their position.

Gonna be hard to top losing Demon Slayer, Yuuna, The Promised Neverland, Haikyu!!, Act-Age, Chainsaw Man, and We Never Learn in the span of a single year.

People are rude. Roboco's gags are relatively narrow in theme as most of them are just riffs on the WSJ cultural context, but many of them are quite well-written. Besides, they get color pages pretty regularly and even had a (poor excuse of an) anime adaptation recently.
My guess is Fabricant 100 because the premise and characters are very weak. A lot of mental gymnastics is needed on reader's behalf to keep disbelief suspended with regards to how the plot has to unfold in order for the series to keep going.

Do note that the first 2–4 volumes (so roughly 16 to 40 chapters) are the most dangerous time for a manga to be canceled, so it won't be safe for much longer. I'm not up to date on it because I dropped it myself around 8-9 chapters in, but if you notice any changes in pacing, characters behaving out of character or coming out with crazy revelations, or major antagonists being introduced, there's your cue.
