Sonic 2 will be my all-time favorite since it was a lot more respectful to the Genesis games as well as poking fun at Russia (Siberia) despite the film being boycotted due to the ongoing war (saying as a Russian-American myself).

I found this movie a pleasant surprise. The first one was just okay in my opinion, but the sequel was a lot of fun. Felt a lot more... confident? At any rate, it was a nice blend for the comedy and action, both halves landing a lot better for me this time around.
Also feel like this just might have been Jim Carrey's funniest performance? I know he's had some really classic comedies in the past, but letting him ham it up as such an over-the-top mad scientist with comic book villain superpowers made every scene with him entertaining. (I also loved his goon, who was delightful in a Kronk-like way.) |
