And nothing valued was lost, honestly - Ichigoki was a disaster from the very beginning that was just waiting to be axed straight after the first volume of sales passed down the very bottom levels and went straight to a deep dark hole of literally nothing.

Only two volumes??

That's bad even by Jump cancellation standards, dang.

Well, considering the first volume got only a three-digit number of sales in the first week - well, no one was really surprised that Jump is not even wanted to give it time for the next round of axe batches and just chopped it straight.

Except they didn't chop it straight. If you've been reading it, it's been clear the wrap up of the comic started in chapter 11. The most it lost from those poor sales is a single chapter (the final chapter condenses what could have been a single chapter into a few panels).

19 chapters is better than some. I think the worst in the last few years was Time Paradox Ghostwriter, which ended with 14.

I think I finished the first chapter of this? Maybe?

It won't be missed.

Nay, they really put it up to the chopping block quite fast because of the really poor sales just based on preorders (even considering it's a gag manga and they usually have very poor reception in Jump) - because if it was based just on rankings only, Ichigoki probably sit it out at least for a couple of next months, waiting in the line for next batch with others - like Fabricant 100.

This manga... went completely off the rails... I could not stay with it..... I read it for like 3-4 chapters and just could not care anymore with how they all acted..

It was a complete cringe fest

But then again, you don't get an 2-months' (from chapter 11 to 19) end notification. Only series truly "hated" –Time Paradox Ghost Writer comes to my mind– or with other issues (Act Age) had express endings. 19 chapters is quite usual for any flopped series.

Considering the last U19 entry in WSJ was in 2021 with Our Blood Oath and Ichigoki probably ended the same if Oniyome and Ginka&Gluna not ended first because Jump never kills two series at the same issue - for current Jump it's not that common.
