Well, without being able to have season 1 on the service, this seems like the best alternative.

I wonder if it's just going to be the first 4 minutes of Season 2. That's nothing but a recap of S1.
I agree it's better to start watching a show somewhere besides Episode 26, but still.

But S2 is on Crunchyroll, not Netflix. And CR only obtained the license for English streaming through Mediatoon. So I think Netflix has washed its hands of this series.

Well, CR said in its Spanish account that Eden’s Zero won’t be exclusive to CR.

Probably not for a while if at all tbh, In/Spectre wasn't confirmed to have a dub when CR first simulcasted it but it got one after it was all finished, and similarly Eden's Zero isn't confirmed to have a dub atm. Not saying it won't happen (I'll be sad without it too) but realistically it's not a CR priority even if they just hire BangZoom! again. Best option is to just not bother waiting for it

Edens Zero S2 Neutral Spanish dub will be handled by the anime streaming service Anime Onegai. The fact that Onegai obtained the dubbing rights surprised many fans, since it is a relatively small company compared to others and it mainly dubs older shows, this will be their first big simuldub show. Another thing is that Edens Zero is one of the few anime that Netflix dubbed in Chile and Onegai is based and does its dubs in their own offices in Mexico, but they said they'll try to keep most of the cast intact, it helps that some actors from other countries have worked for them remotely in shows like Kuroko's Basket and Hitman Reborn! Funnily enough, the dubbing director for Edens Zero S2, Montserrat Aguilar, voices Lucy in Fairy Tail, which just got dubbed into Spanish last year, in fact it premiered after Edens Zero's dub

I'm just curious about the whole English dub situation for season 2 and if Crunchyroll will try getting the rights to put season 1 on here.

As CR isn't streaming S1,(at least in my region) those without Netflix would need it to catch up on the story.
