Deliberate decision to air the movie shortly after the premiere of season 2; after all Getou Suguru plays a huge part in both the movie and season 2 and getting non-acquainted viewers up to speed does the chances of season 2's home sales no harm. Promising ratings for both, remains to be seen if this translates into the home video sales expected by the production committee.
