I was very pleased to see this pop up this morning! Silent Mobius has always been one of my top 5 anime, but I never see anyone ever mention it.

This is another series I’m surprised hasn’t gotten a remake, even when the original aired on TechTV back in the day. “Ensemble” probably is the best word for it.

Thanks for posting this interview. I always enjoy these articles and interviews covering older manga and anime. Many gems waiting to be discovered! This one sounds facinating - I ordered the first volume of the manga

I have fond memories of Kia Asamiya's Steam Detectives manga. Quite sad Viz never published the sequel which was even longer(13 volumes).
Oh and the anime adaptation is also waiting for a license rescue since the days of ADV...

One of the coolest things about Silent Mobius is the fact that this year is the year that the AMPD is founded!

I've also always loved the fact that Kia Asamiya did anime character designs under his real name, Michitaka Kikuchi!

I sure would love to have the full manga, and a blu-ray for the anime, both the films and the series.
