Talk about a rushed dub.

I hope more anticipated titles will receive same-day dubs again. It was so great for MHA to get one. Mob Psycho's last season got one, but the season overall was kind of tame to me.

HIDIVE pulled off a same-day dub? Consider me impressed.

How do you know it is rushed? I imagine that all 12 episodes are already completed, and that should allow Sentai to do a non-rushed dub. I plan to watch season 2 of Eminence in Shadow with the English dub because I was pleased with the dub for season one.

What is your thoughts about the dub ? people said they hate every perfomance on the dub especially complained on the famous catchphrase "i am atomic".

The main issue with the catchphrase is the lack of audio processing. They might have gone back and fixed that, but at least when the dub first came out the line was just delivered straight, which left if kinda flat compared to the JP audio.

Overall, I'd say HiDive/Sentai just lacks the depth of talent needed to do a supporting cast this big full justice, some of the delivery came across a bit stiff and flat. Hopefully they grow into their roles more with more practice, at least those who turn up in S2.

(I know I'm not who you asked for a take on this, but I've had this rattling around in my head since S1 dub ended.)

There are a couple of reasons I know, first off is that Japan is infamous for being behind schedule, Funimation has had titles that started out as being same day dubs, but later episodes had to be delayed because they didn't get the episodes on time. Secondly, VAs have gone on record as saying that on simuldubs they are covering multiple titles a week. Why would this show be the exception to the rule?.

I am aware of how things work, but the reason I am saying that the simuldub for Shadow 2 should fine is because I am convinced all the episodes are finished, and Sentai is most likely dubbing all the episodes at once. I don't think Sentai/HIDIVE would attempt to do a same day dub if they didn't have all the episodes delivered before the first episode airs.

If season 2 of Oshi no Ko is completed before it starts airing I expect Sentai/HIDIVE to do a same day dub.

Didn't you just establish that that rule doesn't exist?
Funimation had titles that started out as same day dubs, but when the anime production was too late for them to continue, they delayed the dub. In MHA's case, to the usual two week rule. VA's working on multiple titles a week for simuldubs just makes sense...they're doing a weekly job on multiple projects. Neither of those statements even imply that this dub will be rushed. And since we have no information on how many episodes are already in the can for the series and ready to ship, I think it's a bit silly to just assume otherwise.
